'Strong, Heavy (And) Serious' Storm To Hit West Coast
Met Éireann have warned of a possible 'status red' storm due to hit the west of Ireland later today.
Described as a "big event" the storm will bring strong winds, heavy rain and high seas and will likely see the current 'status orange' warning upgraded to 'status red'.
A status red warning advises the public to "take action" to protect themselves and their properties.
The forecaster said the weather will turn wet and very windy throughout the afternoon and into the evening. The incoming storm has been described as "strong, heavy (and) serious".

European Storm Forecasters Warn Of Tornadoes Hitting Ireland
Tornadoes could hit Ireland on Friday, according to European storm forecasters RTÉ have reported. Heavy rain, severe winds, tornadoes and a possible large hail event are all forecast for Ireland by the European Storm Forecast Experiment, aka ESTOFEX.

Storm Gareth is to bring disruptive weather to parts of Ireland over the next few days, with heavy wind and rain forecast. A status Orange warning for counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo will come into effect at midday and last until 9am tomorrow, Wednesday 13 March.
