Midwest Nurses Vote To Join Industrial Action
University Hospital Limerick nurses have voted in favour of industrial action in a dispute over hospital overcrowding.
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) balloted nurses in a number of Midwest regional hospitals, with 93% voting in favour of a work-to-rule action to be held on 03 February. This will coincide with the same action being taken at Galway University Hospital.
The action means that nurses at hospitals in Limerick, Ennis, Nenagh and Croom will refuse to perform any administrative, clerical or non-clinical tasks.
