Twenty New Jobs Announced At New Regional Irish TV Hub

Irish TV have announced that it will open a new regional hub in Kerry Technology Park with the creation of twenty new jobs.

Welcoming the news, Fine Gael TD for Kerry and Minister of State with Responsibility for the Diaspora, Jimmy Deenihan, said: "This is a significant vote of confidence in the Kerry economy and in the skilled and educated young people of our County.

"There is a perception out there that the economic growth is happening only in Dublin. While this may have been the case at the beginning of the recovery, we can now see the benefits spreading to the regions also. Recent CSO figures show that since the launch of the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs in February 2012, unemployment in Kerry has dropped by 22%.

"The location of Irish TV in Kerry will also be good for the local community as they plan to feature local shows and local news as part of their programming. I wish them the very best of luck with their new regional hub in Tralee."
