Teenager Critical Following Collision

A teenager is in a critical condition following a road traffic collision.

The incident happened on the Carpenterstown Road, close to the Carpenterstown Shopping Centre in Dublin, at around 8.35pm on Sunday (1 February).

The boy, aged 13, is understood to have been struck by a black BMW 5 Series. Emergency services attended the scene and the teen was taken to Temple Street Children's University Hospital.

His injuries have been described as "critical".

Gardaí have said the incident is not a hit and run collision.

The woman and son killed in County Louth yesterday after their car collided with a wall have been named. Leontina Covaci (35 years) and Ezacheal Covaci (9 years) of Rivervale Grove, Dunleer, Co. Louth, died at around 2.30pm along the old M1, south of Castlebellingham.

Man Dies After Being Hit By Car In Co Dublin
A pedestrian has died in hospital after he was hit by a car in County Dublin. The serious collision occurred on the Whitestown Road in Rush at around lunchtime on Friday 07 June. The man, aged in his 30's, was rushed to Beaumont Hospital with critical injuries but passed away on Sunday 09. The driver of the car was uninjured.

Man Dies After Car Hits Wall In Co Meath
A man has died after his car collided into a wall in Co Meath. The incident happened at around 4:55pm at Clownstown on the Dunshauhlin to Navan road yesterday, 07 April. The victim, aged in his 30's, was seriously injured and taken to Navan General Hospital. However, he was later pronounced dead.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Two Dead In Separate Collisions
Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.
