Senior Garda Meet With Organiser Of 'Love Ulster' March
Senior garda officers have met with Northern Ireland loyalist campaigner Willie Frazer over a proposed 'Love Ulster' march he hopes to hold in Dublin.
A similar march was held in 2006, but was abandoned after clashes broke out between garda and republican protesters.
According to a report by Herald.ie, Mr Frazer met with Chief Superintendent Pat Leahy of Store Street Garda Station and Detective Chief Superintendent John Gilligan of the force's Liaison and Protection section at Balbriggan Garda Station to discuss the event.
The report quotes Mr Frazer as saying that the meeting was "very good" and that garda had agreed to give the marchers "the protection" they need.
Gardai said that they could not comment on the meeting for operational reasons.
