Pipe Bomb Found In Garden
A suspected pipe bomb has been found in the garden of a house in Knocknaheeny in Cork city at about 8am on Wednesday morning.
The army's Explosive Ordnance Defence unit were called to assess the device, which has been removed for examination.
The army bomb disposal team will dismantle the device, then return it to garda for forensic examination.
It is understood the device was found inside a bag by a woman who lives at the house. No one was injured in the incident.

Viable Device In Dublin Made Safe
The Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a viable device in Dublin. The improvised explosive was found close to the Hollystown roundabout, on the Cappagh Road in Finglas, at approximately 11.45pm on Tuesday night. The area was sealed off for a period of time and the device has been taken for further examination.

Viable Explosive Device Made Safe In Cork
The Army Bomb Disposal Team have made safe a Viable Improvised Explosive Device found near a pub in Mayfield, Cork. Residents in nearby properties had to be evacuated during the overnight incident. The team rendered the device safe without the need for a controlled explosion and the scene was declared safe at 4.30am.

Bomb disposal experts were tasked to a Dublin pub on Sunday morning, after being alerted to the finding of a suspicious device. Experts examined the device found outside the north Dublin Jolly Toper premises, concealed in a package located in a vehicle in the car park on Church Street, Finglas at around 8.30am.

A pipe bomb has been found outside a house in Brownstone, Co Kildare. Shortly before 11pm on Monday (27 October), an army bomb disposal team was called to the scene. A viable improvised explosive device was discovered, it has been reported. A number of homes had to be evacuated and road closures were put in place for motorists.
