Teenager Dies Following River Fall
A teenager has died after falling from his horse and into a river in Co Cork.
It is understood the 16-year-old was riding the horse on the banks of the Glashaboy River in Glanmire. The animal entered the swollen river but stumbled and the teenager was thrown into the water and swept downstream.
Two of his friend's raised the alarm. The incident happened at around 6.30pm on Saturday.
Emergency services attended the scene and the teen was taken to Cork University Hospital. He failed to regain consciousness and was later pronounced dead.

Missing Teenager Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing teenager Weronika Pomiechowska has been found "safe and well". The teenager had been missing from her home in Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, since Monday. Gardaí have not given any information on where the teenager was but thanked the public for their help in finding her.

Missing Co Cork Teenager Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing 17-year-old Chantel Duffy has been found "safe and well", gardaí in Co Cork has reported. The teenager had been missing since Saturday, 11 July. Garda have not given any information on the teenagers whereabouts during the time that she was missing, but thanked the public for the help during the investigation.

River Water Quality Is Deteriorating - EPA
River water quality is deteriorating, according to findings from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA has published the Water Quality in Ireland Report for the period 2013-2018. 92% of groundwater bodies, 80% of coastal waters, 53% of rivers, 50% of lakes and 38% of estuaries were found to be of satisfactory quality.

Fisherman's Body Identified
The body of a fisherman, found off the south Co Wexford coast, has been identified. John Ennis went missing 31 days ago after the boat he was in sank 45 metres from shore between Duncannon and Arthurstown.

Appeal Issued For Missing Cork Teenager
Gardaí have launched an appeal to trace missing Cork teenager Akvile Lenciauskaite. Akvile, 17, was last seen at her home in Douglas at around 5pm on Saturday, 31 October. She was wearing a fancy dress outfit for Halloween which was a black and white dress, black and white striped tights with black high heels.
