Man Dies In Co Meath Road Accident
Gardaí in Co Meath have reported the death of a 25-year-old man in a road accident in the early hours of Monday morning.
The man died in hospital following a single-vehicle collision at about 12:30am at Dunheeda, on the main Kingscourt to Drumconrath road.
The road is currently closed to allow for a forensic examination and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Navan Garda Station on 046-9036100, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda station.

Man Questioned Over Fatal Road Crash In Co Mayo
Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.

Gardaí have launched an investigation into an armed robbery in south Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning. It is understood a businessman was lodging cash at a bank deposit box at about 4:45am on Terenure Road East in Rathgar, when he was approached by a man, dressed in women's clothing, and carrying what appeared to be a handgun.

Road Death Toll Growing
Gardaí in Borris, Co Carlow are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ballyine, Co Carlow at 12.45am this morning. A man of 68 was injured when the car in which he was the sole occupant collided with a wall. He was brought to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
