DFB Attend Two Dublin City Fires On Thursday Morning

Four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) were called to an apartment complex in Tallaght following reports of a fire at about 3am on Thursday.

Eight people were evacuated from Greenhill Court Apartments, two residents had to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) said that they believe the fire was started by a faulty electric blanket.

In another incident this morning, DFB sent three units attended a fire in Dublin's south city centre.

It is understood that a faulty fuse box outside Madison Court on Lower Mount Street, caused a fire.

A number of residents were evacuated, but there were no reports of any injuries.

Investigation Follows Dublin Blazes
Gardaí have launched an investigation following a series of fires in Dublin yesterday evening. The suspicious blazes led Dublin Fire Brigade to attend three separate incidents in the Darndale area in the northside of the city within just over an hour. The first fire began at three unoccupied houses in the Buttercup Park estate at about 9.10pm.

Apartment Complex Fire Investigated
An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at an apartment complex in Dublin city on Wednesday afternoon. The apartments in Love Lane, Dublin 2, were evacuated when firefighters were called just after 14:30 yesterday.
