FF Supports Calls For Kincora Boys Home Sexual Abuse Inquiry

Fianna Fail is supporting calls for an inquiry into sexual abuse at Kincora Boys Home in Belfast.

Spokesperson Brendan Smith TD, said the allegations about horrific child abuse at Kincora Boys Home have been circulating for decades now, with claims of a cover up at the highest level in the intelligence services.

Mr Smith said: "The survivors of this abuse and their families cannot be expected to wait any longer for a full and thorough investigation into what happened and who was to blame.

"I share the concerns of Alliance Party MP Naomi Long that the Northern Ireland inquiry is too limited to get to the bottom of such disturbing allegations involving systematic abuse, trafficking and high level cover-ups. This needs to be investigated at the highest possible level by an inquiry that has the teeth to expose the truth."
