DCC Recommend Increasing Clamping Fees

Dublin City Council has recommended an increase of clamping fees in line with inflation.

The recommendation comes at the end of a consultation period on the issue, which will now be proposed to the Minister of Transport, who will decide if the current €80 fee should be increased. The current fee has not changed since 1998.

The council's Transport Committee have also recommended higher charges for persistent parking offenders.
