Search Continues For Cork Woman Missing In Glasgow

UK police are continuing to search for a Cork woman missing in Glasgow.

24-year-old Karen Buckley, who is from Mourneabbey near Mallow, is a student in the Scottish capital. She has been missing since the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is known that Ms Buckley was at a nightclub with a group of friends, who last saw her, when she said she was going to the bathroom.

Police said they know Ms Buckley went back to a man's flat in the city, before leaving at about 4am on Sunday. She has not been seen since.

Ms Buckley's parents have travelled to Glasgow to help police appeal for information.

A man found guilty of murdering student Karen Buckley has been jailed for life. Ms Buckley, 24, who was originally from Cork, went missing in Glasgow after a night out with friends. Her body was found on a farm four days later. Alexander Pacteau, 21, killed the student shortly after meeting her outside a nightclub in April of this year.

Family Bring Home Body Of Karen Buckley
The body of Karen Buckley, a student from Cork found murdered in Glasgow, has been returned to Cork. Ms Buckley's body was brought home by her parents on a special Aer Lingus/Stobart Air flight from Glasgow today. Her funeral is to be held in the north Cork village of Mourneabbey on Tuesday.

Irish Water To Invest €3.5m In Mid Kerry Upgrades
