Appeal Issued Over Cash-In-Transit Robbery

Gardaí have appealed for information on a cash-in-transit robbery in Santry on Thursday afternoon.

Two masked men threatened the van's security staff outside a post office and shop on Shantalla Road, at about 15:15.

The men fled the scene on foot. They were carrying a cash-box.

The cash-box was found a short time later, and all the money taken in the robbery was recovered.

Firearm Found Following Cork Robbery
Gardai have discovered a firearm following a robbery at a house in Cork. The shotgun was found in a field near the home of a businessman at Gluntahaune during searches on Monday. Five men have been arrested and are currently being detained in custody. The weapon has been sent for forensic examination.

Missing Man Sought
The police at Santry Garda Station are trying to trace a missing man, 50-year-old Alan Harris who was last seen at his home in Lorcan Avenue, Santry, last Thursday the 21st of January. Alan is described as 5'11', thin build, with grey hair and a beard. When last seen he was wearing an orange and grey jacket and blue jeans.

Man Held Over Airport Drugs Seizure
A 30-year-old man has been arrested after customs officers at Dublin Airport seized cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000 on Thursday. It is understood that the man, reported to be Polish, had arrived on a flight from Brussels. He was taken to Santry Garda station.

Men Arrested Over Santry Cannabis Seizure
Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Garda Seek Four Men Over Armed Post Office Robbery
Gardaí are seeking four men in connection with an armed robbery of a post office in County Kerry. Two men, one carrying a pistol and the other a baseball bat, entered the Tarbet Post Office at about 16:00 on Tuesday and threatened staff while a third man stood blocking the door. There were no customers in the post office at the time.
