Cork Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí in Co Cork have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident in the early hours of Monday morning.
It is understood that a 33-year-old male pedestrian was hit by a car at on the N25 on the Cork side of Castlemartyr at about 05:15 on 04 May.
He was taken to Cork University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The road remains closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place at the Two Mile Inn and in Castlemartyr village via Mogeely.
Witnesses are asked to contact Midleton Garda Station on 021- 4621550, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Garda have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident at Moyneard, Moyne, Co Tipperary on Tuesday 12 January. A 39-year-old female pedestrian died after being struck by a van on the Moynead Cross to Shanballyduff Cross Road at about 16:10. It is understood the driver of the van, a 55-year-old man, was uninjured.

Gardaí on Mallow have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident in Kanturk, Co Cork, on Thursday morning. The collision occurred at Glen South, Naan, Kanturk at approximately 11.30am on the Kanturk/Banty to Cork Road and involved a car and a rigid truck. The 78-year-old female driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

A male cyclist in his 30's was fatally injured when he was involved in a collision with a car at about 11:15 on Sunday, 15 November. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Kerry General Hospital.
