Cannabis Seized In Co Galway
A man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of cannabis in Tuam, Co Galway.
Gardai from the Tuam District Drug and Detective Units assisted by the Galway Divisional Drug Unit carried out a planned search of a house on the Galway Road, Tuam at about 22.25 on Monday night.
Officers seized cannabis plants and cannabis herb with a combined estimated street value of up to €22,000.
A man in his 20s was was arrested at the scene and was detained under the provisions Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Tuam Garda Station.
He has been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Drugs worth an estimated €35,000 have been seized in Galway City in a joint operation involving Gardaí and Revenue Officers. A quantity of ecstasy, cannabis herb and cocaine were uncovered during a planned search of a premises in Galway City on Thursday afternoon.
