SF Supports Marriage Equality Referendum

Sinn Féin is calling for a 'Yes' vote in the Marriage Equality referendum.

MEP Liadh Ní Riada said the referendum is about equality.

She said: "At its core it is about ensuring all people, and all couples, have access to equal rights, dignity and respect.

"I have had several discussions with young LGBT and Sinn Féin activists about the campaign and the recurring theme is that our major challenge will be to get the voters out on the day.

"There are no foregone conclusions in elections and referendums, and I am calling on young people in particular to make sure they get out and vote on May 22nd."
