Over 40,000 Cars Recalled In Ireland Amid Faulty Airbag Fears
More than 40,000 cars are being recalled in Ireland over concerns about potentially faulty airbags.
Toyota has announced a recall of 27,000 cars in Ireland, built between 2004 and 2007, while Nissan has recalled 15,500 cars.
It is understood that airbags made by the same independent manufacturer, named in a report by RTÉ as Takata, are potentially faulty.
The reports suggests that four deaths and up to 100 injuries are claimed to have been the result of the faulty airbags.
The Toyota models being recalled in Ireland include Yaris, Corolla and Avensis Verso.

Safety concerns over passenger airbags in some Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Mazda cars could see up to 38,000 vehicles being recalled in Ireland. Toyota Ireland is set to recall around 22,000 vehicles, which where manufactured between the years 2000-2004 in the Yaris, Corolla and Avensis models.

36,000 Toyota Cars Recalled
As part of worldwide seven million recall, car manufacturer Toyota are recalling 36,000 cars in Ireland. The recall includes all models of Yaris, Auris, Corolla and Rav 4 sold between September 2006 and December 2008.

More than 500 Lexus cars have been recalled over a concern with a fuel delivery pipe. The manufacturer is recalling some 1.7 million cars worldwide, with most being in the US and Far East. It is thought that there are around 514 of the models concerned in Ireland.
