Garda Investigates 'Potential Suspicious Approach' On Two-Year-Old
A mother has warned parents to "mind [their] babies" after two people made a "suspicious approach" to her 2-year-old daughter at a service station on Tuesday morning.
It is understood that the woman was at Applegreen Services on the southbound M1 at Castlebellingham, when she noticed two people "watching" her and her daughter.
Posting on Facebook the woman said that at first she thought they where watching her, perhaps waiting for her to leave her bag unattended.
However, she said "it quickly became clear that they were watching her [daughter] and one approached her at the first opportunity..."
Gardaí in Ardee confirmed that they incident has been reported to them, that they will receive CCTV footage from the service station and that it is being treated as a "potential suspicious approach".

Service Industries Continue To Improve
The value of the service industry in Ireland increased by 1.4% in July when compared with June, while in the year to July, there was an increase of 5.3%. The figures have been released by the Central Statistics Office through its Monthly Services Index, which measures the value of the service industries across the country.

McDonald Slams FF/FG Agreement For Government
Sinn Féin Vice President Mary Lou McDonald has slammed the recent Agreement for government between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil. While a commitment towards a a five-year HSE service plan was welcomed, Teachta McDonald said a pledge to provide €15 million to the National Treatment Purchase Fund was "woefully inadequate".
