Man Found Dead In Co Laois
An investigation has launched after a man was found dead at a house in County Laois.
According to reports, the 54-year-old was discovered at the bottom of the stairs of a house in Rathdowney at around 10.30pm.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and gardai are continuing to investigate.

Status Yellow Rainfall Warning Issued Across 11 Counties
Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow weather warning for rain across 11 counties. The warning, which came into effect at 7am this morning, is in place for Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan. The warning will remain in place until 6am tomorrow, when it will be reviewed.

Water Conservation Orders Lifted As Rainfall Increases
Irish Water has announced the water conservation orders have been lifted in the Southern, Eastern and Midlands regions. The areas that have had their order lifted include: Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Cork, Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Laois, Offaly, Wicklow, Meath, Westmeath, Louth and Dublin.

Publican's Body Found
The body of a public house owner in Co Offaly has been discovered in suspicious circumstances. Officers are investigating after the discovery of the man who was in his 60s at 7.30am on Wednesday. The body was discovered by a member of the man's family, at a public house owned by the dead man in Daingean, Co.Offaly.

Man Dead Following Road Collision In Co Laois
A man has died in a road crash in Co Laois. The 22-year-old male's car collided with a wall at Kilmullen near Portarlington, at around 3.50 am on Monday, 07 August. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.

Man Killed in Laois House Fire
The body of a 70-year-old man has been found in a house destroyed by fire in Co. Laois. The fire broke out shortly after 2am on Friday morning at a thatched cottage in the Heath, near Portaloise where the man lived alone in the property. Gardaí forensic experts are at the scene, but they are not believed to be treating the fire as suspicious.
