Drugs And Money Seized In North Inner City
Gardaí have seized drugs and money in a joint operation with Revenue Customs Service in Dublin's north inner city.
Authorities uncovered approximately 50 kgs of herbal cannabis, subject to analysis, and an estimated €1m in cash. It is understood that the drugs and money were concealed in a consignment of soap from Spain.
Three men were arrested in connection with the seizure and are being held under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Gardaí said that the operation used advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks.
"Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality," a Garda statement said.

Man Arrested Over 39kg Of Cannabis Resin
Officers from the National Drugs Unit have arrested a man in connection with the discovery of cannabis resin worth an estimated value of €234,000. The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested on Thursday at a service station on the M1 southbound at about 09:00am in what has been described as an "intelligence-led operation".

A man, understood to be in his 30s, has been arrested following a drugs seizure at his home in Tuam, Co Galway. When the house, located in the Dangan area, was searched, cannabis herb and plants were found. It is thought they had a street value of up to €100,000. Gardaí have said it was a sophisticated grow house at the property.

Searches have been carried out by officers from the Criminal Assets Bureau at 12 locations in Dublin, Kildare and Meath as part of ongoing investigations into a west Dublin criminal group. During the operation the Bureau seized a large amounts of financial documentation and electronic media.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Co Westmeath. Gardai from the Westmeath Divisional Drug Unit stopped a car near Kinnegad at approximately 7:30pm on Wednesday. Heroin worth an estimated €45,000 was discovered during a search of the vehicle.
