80 Jobs Announced In Medical Company Expansion

Eighty new jobs are to be created in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork, with the investment of €53 by medical devices company, DePuy Synthes.

The company is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, whose senior executives met with Minister for Agriculture, Simon Coveney, at the Loughbeg plant to officially open the 320,000-square foot extension.

The investment has been supported by the Department of Jobs and the IDA.

The jobs announcement follows news on Tuesday of a €100m expansion of manufacturing operations at another Johnson & Johnson subsidiary in Limerick.
