Man Assaulted In Dublin
A man has been injured after being attacked in Dublin on Thursday.
The victim was assaulted by three men in their late teens near the junction of Merrion Street Lower/Fenian Street, at approximately 2.30am.
He was struck from behind and knocked to the ground. Property was taken from him which has since been recovered. He suffered minor injuries.
The injured man followed the three males who got into a taxi – a Silver Ford Mondeo – on Merrion Street Lower which drove in the direction of Baggot Street.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Gardaí Seize Cocaine In Cork
Three kilos of cocaine have been seized by gardaí during searches in Cork. One kilo of the drug was found in a van stopped by officers at Strawhall in Fermoy on Thursday evening. A man, believed to be the van driver, was arrested. Two more kilos of the drug was found during a follow-up search of a flat in Mitchelstown.

Eight food firms have been closed in April for breaches of food safety legislation. According to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI), the closures were issued by health safety officers in the Health Service Executive (HSE).

Cannabis Seized At Dublin Port
Customs officers have seized cannabis worth an estimated street value of €20,000 at Dublin Port. The drugs were found on Tuesday hidden in a vehicle that had arrived from Holyhead. Revenue Customs Service say that the drugs were uncovered during "routine profiling" at the port. Gardaí have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.
