Sea Searches Stepped Up Ahead Of Bad Weather

Sea searches for the body of Barry Davis Ryan are expected to intensify today ahead of deteriorating weather conditions.

Divers have been searching for Mr Ryan's body since 30 June, when he, his father and his girlfriends, Niamh O'Connor lost their lives in the sea off the Beacon.

It is understood that organisers will ramp up searches today as the weather is expected to worsen over the weekend.

Some 200 divers are planned for today, with teams of eight divers checking the seabed in set lines.

The bodies of Barry Ryan senior and Niamh O'Connor were recovered and their funerals were held last weekend.
