DCC Extend Transport Policy Consultation

Dublin City Council has extended the consultation period on its proposed Transport Study to allow additional responses and consultation with the business community.

The consultation period was originally to close on 16 July but has now been extended to close on Friday 07 August.

The Council has received more than 1,300 online responses within the first three weeks and the indications show a 3 to 1 support for reducing traffic volumes in city centre.

Michael Phillips, Director of Traffic Dublin City Council, said: "It is a credit to the citizens, businesses and visitors to the city that they are taking time to complete the survey with more than half of the respondents providing additional comments. The extension will give more people a chance to contribute and enhance the final outcome."

Public Consultation Documents and Questionnaire are available in over 100 city wide locations that include all public libraries and Dublin City Council local offices.
