Appeal Issued For Missing Tallaght Teenager

Gardaí have appealed for help in tracing 17-year-old Owen O'Reilly, who has been missing from his home in Tallaght since Wednesday.

The teenager was last seen at his home at about 21:00.

When last seen he was wearing a terracotta/wine tracksuit with grey runners.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01 666 6000 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Gardaí Appeal After Man Goes Missing From Dublin
Gardaí are appealing for information about the whereabouts of Patrick Coyne, 56. He has been missing from Fairview in Dublin from 4 January. Mr Coyne is 5' 8" in height and of slim build. When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans and a blue bomber jacket. Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

13 Irish Beaches Lose Blue Flag Awards
New tougher EU water quality standards have resulted in 13 of Ireland’s beaches losing their Blue Flag status. Ireland received 74 Blue Flags, down from 87 last year. Another 12 beaches lost their Green Coast award.

Record Number Of Beaches Receive Blue Flag Award
A record number of Irish beaches have received prestigious Blue Flag awards. 87 awards, three more than last year, have been handed out for this summer with Donegal, Mayo and Kerry having the biggest number of top swimming spots, notching up 13 each.

Six Beaches Lose Blue Flag Accolade
Six Irish beaches have lost their blue flag status according to the 2010 list of Blue Flag-approved beaches published by An Taisce, however, five others have regained their accolade. Beaches that lost their flags were Brittas Bay South, Co Wicklow; Ross and Oldhead, Co Mayo; Traught and Ceibh an Spidéal, Co Galway and Mullaghmore, Co Sligo.

No Fly Zone Despite Blue Skies
There were no flights in or out of many Irish airports again today. The blue skies on Monday morning are masking the return of the volcanic ash cloud from the active Icelandic eruption that has been plaguing air travel for a month.
