Helicopter Crash Pilot Arrested

Gardaí have arrested the pilot of a helicopter that crash landed next to a public house in Abbeyshrule on suspicion of endangerment.

The pilot, a man in his 60s, and his passenger escaped the crash on Wednesday night with cuts and bruises.

The man is being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Longford Garda Station.
