Three Arrested Following Stabbing Attack In Dublin

Gardai have arrested three people after three people were stabbed at a house in Dublin on Sunday night.

The incident occurred on the South Circular Road just before 10pm.

One man is believed to be suffering serious injuries, however they are not believed to be life threatening. The other two men received minor injuries. They are currently being treated at St James's Hospital.

Two women and a man are being detained at Kilmainham Garda Station.

Woman Released In Longford Murder Investigation
The woman being held by Gardaí in connection with the death of Sharon Coughlan, has been released without charge. Gardaí in Co Longford arrested three people yesterday. Two men, aged 19 and 28, were still in custody this morning. It is understood their period of detention has been extended.

Former Politician Arrested Over Alleged Murder Conspiracy
A former Co Cork politician has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. It is understood garda detectives were acting on information when they arrested the as-yet-unidentified man near Cork city on Friday morning. He is being held and questioned at a garda station in Cork and can be detained for up to a week.

Irishman Killed In Germany After Stabbing Three People
An Irishman has died after stabbing three people in Germany. The man, believed to be Enda McLaughlin, 27, from Donegal, was struck by a vehicle on a motorway as he tried to flee from police. Police in Germany are reporting that the Irishman stabbed a taxi driver and also attempted to stab another man.

Three Hurt In Dublin Shooting
Three people have been wounded in a shooting attack in County Dublin last night. Gardaí are investigating the incident, which occurred in the north County Dublin town of Balbriggan last night. During the attack, two masked men discharged a shotgun outside a house at Pinewood Green Road at around 8.40pm.

Co Offaly Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 52-year-old Co Offaly man missing for three weeks has been found "safe and well", gardaí have reported. William Valentine, of Geashill, Co Offaly was last seen on October 10 at the Cappincur Roundabout in Tullamore. Gardaí had issued appeals for help in tracing him. No information has been released as to how or where Mr Valentine was found.
