Interim Examiner Appointed To Mothercare Ireland
The High Court has appointed an interim examiner to Mothercare Ireland.
The firm, which is a franchise of Mothercare UK, said in a statement on its website: "This is a process that will allow the company the opportunity to restructure and in particular address the key issue of unsustainable high rents in its stores."
Morthercare Ireland confirmed it will be trading as normal, and will continue to accept gift cards/vouchers and family cards.

'High Probability' Storm Lorenzo Will Track Closer To Ireland
Met Eireann has issued a warning of "potential stormy conditions" this Thursday and Friday with a "high probability" that Storm Lorenzo will track close to or over Ireland. The forecaster said that "high seas, severe winds and heavy rain" are expected later on Thursday and early Friday.

Irish Exports At All-Time High - Enterprise Ireland
Irish exports have almost doubled in ten years, with 2015 seeing a 10% increase and an all-time high figure of €20.6 billion, up from €10.73bn in 2005. Enterprise Ireland revealed that exports have increased across all sectors; with software, construction and manufacturing seeing the greatest rises.

High Winds Batter Ireland & Scotland
Northern parts of Ireland were in for a battering today with high winds prompting the Met Office to issue an amber weather warning for Thursday. Irish Sea crossings are likely to face delays as winds will be strongest in the north, while the rest of the country will also see gusts of 60 to 70mph.

Interim Examiner Appointed To The Ritz Hotel
An interim examiner has been appointed to The Ritz Hotel in County Wicklow, after it emerged in the High Court it owes NAMA €47 million. Situated in the Powerscourt estate, it was built by developers Richard Barrett and Johnny Ronan for €200m. It is believed to have been making a loss since it was built in 2007.
