Gardai Investigate Fatal Road Accident
An investigation has been launched into a fatal traffic collision in Blackwater, Co Kerry, on Saturday, 15 August.
A male motorcyclist, aged in his 50s, was seriously injured in a collision with a car on the N70, between Kenmare and Sneem, at Lackeen, Blackwater.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. The occupants of the car were uninjured.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact Kenmare Garda Station on 064 -6641177, Killarney Garda Station 064-6671160 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Man Dies After Being Hit By Car In Co Dublin
A pedestrian has died in hospital after he was hit by a car in County Dublin. The serious collision occurred on the Whitestown Road in Rush at around lunchtime on Friday 07 June. The man, aged in his 30's, was rushed to Beaumont Hospital with critical injuries but passed away on Sunday 09. The driver of the car was uninjured.

Senator and Seanad Spokesperson for Justice Clifford-Lee said: "Rush is a large and growing urban area with a surrounding rural hinterland. It is among the fastest-growing areas within the fastest growing constituency and county in Ireland.

Garda Injured In Cork
A garda has been injured while on duty in Cork on Monday night. The sergeant has been treated in hospital but has been discharged. He was bringing a patient, aged in his 20s, to the Mercy University Hospital just after 6pm. The garda is based at Gurranabraher Garda Station.
