Teenager Dies In Co Carlow Farm Accident
A 14-year-old boy has died following an accident on a farm in Co Carlow on Wednesday morning.
It is understood that the boy and his 15-year-old brother were both injured when a tractor and trailer combination toppled over in a field on a farm two miles outside the town of Ballon.
Both boys were taken to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny.
Donal English Hayden was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time after arrival. His brother has since been released.
Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the accident.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Westmeath are appealing to witnesses of a fatal road accident on the Athlone bypass on Sunday afternoon. A five-month-old baby boy died after the car he was travelling in veered off the road onto the hard shoulder and collided with the crash barrier. A three-year-old girl was also injured in the collision.

A three-year-old boy has died following a farmyard accident in County Wexford. Gardaí said he was struck by a vehicle at Carrigabruise at around 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoon, 10 April. He was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. An investigation is under way.
