Gardai Renew Appeal Over Murder Of Raonaid Murray
Gardai have issued a renewed appeal for information offer the murder of Raonaid Murray.
The 04 September was the 16th anniversary of her murder. She was 17 years old at the time.
Miss Murray worked at a clothes shop then known as Sally West in Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre. She left the shop at approximately 9pm on the 03 September 1999 and went with a friend to Scott's Public House in Dun Laoghaire. She made arrangements with a friend to go to a nightclub later that night. She left Scott's at approximately 11.20pm to go home and get changed before going to the nightclub. Her house is about a 15 minute walk from Scott's Public House. Her body was then found at Silchester Crescent in Glenageary at 12.33am, Saturday 4th September 1999, less than 500 yards from her home.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Dolan speaking at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station made the following appeal: "Anybody with any information which could assist in identifying a motive for the murder of Raonaid and / or if any person has any doubts about the veracity of an alibi provided, we would appeal for your immediate assistance. You may be unknowingly shielding a killer."
Her family are also appealing to the public for any information which may lead to the arrest of her killer.

Renewed Appeal Over Murder Of Taxi Driver
Gardaí have renewed an appeal for information on the murder of taxi driver Martin Mulligan. Mr Mulligan (53) was stabbed to death on 28 September following an altercation in Dundalk in Co Louth. It is believed the altercation began over an unpaid taxi fare.

The inquiry is into the murder on Raonaid Murray in 1999, and markes the run -up to the nine-year anniversary of her death.
