Two Arrested Over Armed Robbery In Tallaght
Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at Old Bawn Shopping Centre in Tallaght.
The incident happened at a fast food outlet at around 12.20am on Saturday.
One man, armed with a chainsaw, threatened staff and ripped the till from the counter. They left the scene and made off in the direction of Bohernabreena Rd.
Gardai from Tallaght and Rathfarnam responded and carried out a search of the immediate area.
The men, aged 23 and 40, are being detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
The cash register and a sum of cash were recovered.

Man Due In Court Over Tiger Kidnapping
A 23-year-old man is due to appear in Tallaght District Court at 10.30am tomorrow to be charged in connection with the a tiger kidnapping incident that occurred last week. Shortly after the kidnapping and robbery on Tuesday last, investigating Gardaí carried out an intelligence led operation, which resulted in the arrest of three people.

Man Held In Connection With 'Tiger Robbery'
A male in his 20s has been arrested in Tallaght in connection with a so-called 'tiger kidnapping' incident in Dublin last month. Gardai investigating the false imprisonment and abduction of a bank official on the June 22 made the arrest this morning in relation to the incident.

Three men have been arrested in connection with a suspected armed robbery at a shop in Bawnogue Shopping Centre, Clondalkin. Two masked men threatened shop staff with a suspected firearm and fled the scene with a sum of cash. When the suspects left they were seen going in the direction of the Lealand estate.

An Post Worker's Family Held Hostage
Gardaí are continuing investigations into an attempted robbery in which a family was held hostage. The incident took place last night around 9.30pm, when a gang of four armed men entered a house in Co Kildare. The family of six were held overnight.

Gunman Arrested In Dublin
Gardai in Dublin have arrested a man after an attempted armed robbery of a pub in Chapelizod, early this morning. Officers were called to The Villager pub at around 1am. The man, armed with a shotgun, was demanding cash from the barman when two gardai entered. The gunman turned his weapon on one of the officers, who disarmed him and made an arrest.
