Two Women Arrested In Connection With Cow's Lane Death

Two women have been arrested in connection with the death of a man on Cow's Lane, Dublin on Thursday, 10 September.

A man in his 20s died following a violent disorder incident last week.

The two women, both aged in their early 20s, are the latest to be arrested as part of the investigation.

The women were detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

One of the women has been released from Garda custody without charge, while a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The second woman remains in Garda custody.

Investigating Gardaí renewed their appeal to any persons who may have witnessed the incident or were in the vicinity of Cow’s Lane between 20:30 and 21:00 on 10 September 2015, or it is believed that some witnesses took images of this incident as it occurred and Gardaí are appealing to all persons to contact them at Pearse Street Garda Station at 01 - 6669000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Investigation Launched After Pharmacy Worker Stabbed
An investigation has been launched in Drogheda after a Pharmacy employee was stabbed. Gardaí were called to Scarlet Street shortly before 08:30 on Tuesday morning to reports that an employee had been stabbed. The victim, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, where his condition is described as serious.

Farmer Denies Girl's Rape Trial
A Dubin court has been told that an Offaly farmer - charged with raping a teenage girl - denied the allegation. When interviewed by Gardaí, the unnamed accused said: "Straight up, I did not rape that girl," he said.

Man Critical After Shooting In Dublin
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being shot in Lusk, Co Dublin. Gardai said the incident occurred at Dun Emer Place at 9:50am on Tuesday morning, 05 July. The victim, in his late 30s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital were his condition has been described as critical.
