Renewed Appeal Over Murder Of Taxi Driver

Gardaí have renewed an appeal for information on the murder of taxi driver Martin Mulligan.

Mr Mulligan (53) was stabbed to death on 28 September following an altercation in Dundalk in Co Louth.

It is believed the altercation began over an unpaid taxi fare.

Garda said that they want to speak to any motorists who travelled on the Dublin to Armagh Road between 1am and 3:30am on Monday, 28 September.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact garda.

A woman has been sentenced to five years in jail for robbing a taxi driver while threatening him with a syringe. The robbery occurred after the driver turned down her sexual advances. 30-year-old Mary Ward had propositioned the taxi driver, quoting him prices for various sexual acts. However when he declined it quickly became a robbery.
