Man Arrested In Connection With €100,000 Livestock Theft
A man has been arrested in connection with the theft of €100,000 worth of livestock in June of this year.
75 cattle and 25 sheep were taken between 21:00 on 24 June 2015 and 13:15 on 25 June 2015 from lands at Cornaher, Kilbeggan, County Westmeath which is situated close to the N6, Old Dublin Road between Kilbeggan and Tyrrellspass.
Garda said the arrest was made during a planned operation in Donegal on Thursday morning.
He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Ballyshannon Garda Station.

Man Charged With Theft And Fraud Offences In Cork
A 45-year-old man has appeared in court charged in connection with a number of theft and fraud offences in Cork City. An investigation began in 2014 after Gardaí received a complaint against the suspect. Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.
