Limerick College Website Hacked By Group Claiming To Be ISIS

An investigation has been launched after a Limerick college's website was hacked by a group claiming to be from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

The message on the website of Central College Limerick read: "THIS WEBSITE HAS BEEN HACKED BY THE ISLAMIC STATE IN SYRIA (ISIS)."

"IRELAND EXPECT US".

There was also a picture of a terrorist holding the ISIS flag and a symbol of the ISIS.

The website has been taken down and investigations are underway.

Sony Ireland Website Hacked
Sony Music Ireland have reported their website has been hacked following the publishing of three fake news stories on their homepage this morning. The industry giant has launched an investigation into the incident and have redirected the www.sonymusic.ie domain to the company's Facebook page.

Two Bodies Discovered In County Limerick
Two bodies have been discovered at a house in County Limerick. The bodies, of a man and a woman, were found in the bedroom of a house in Boolaglass at around 3am on Monday. The State Pathologist has been notified and an examination is expected to take place. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Highly-Educated Are Majority Of Irish Emigrants
A disproportionate number of highly-educated young people are leaving Ireland, a year-long study of emigration has shown. Researchers from UCC's Institute for Social Science in the 21st Century and Department of Geography found that 62% of people leaving Ireland for other countries have a tertiary qualification of three years or more.

Human Remains Confirmed As Missing Limerick Woman
Human remains found in Galway Bay on 29 November have been confirmed as those of missing Limerick woman, Maria Hennigar. The 35-year-old was reported missing on 22 November, although she had not been seen earlier that month.

Investigation Launched Following Bone Discovery In Co Clare
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a bone in Co Clare. A bone was found on Thursday, 22 September, on the Shannon riverbank at Doonass, Clonlara, on the Clare-Limerick border. Gardaí were called to the scene and are understood to have examined and photographed the scene before the bone was removed.
