Appeal For Witnesses To Serious Assault In Dublin 12
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to an assault on Captains Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12 at about 01:30 on Monday, 12 October.
A 31-year-old man is being treated in hospital following an incident involving a group of men, garda have said. His condition is described as serious.
Garda believe that following the incident the group of men fled the scene on foot in the direction of Armagh Road/Windmill Road.
Gardaí arrested a man, mid 20's, in connection with this investigation on Monday afternoon and he is currently detained at Crumlin Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Man Arrested Over Gun And Ammunition Seizure
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in an operation targeting organised criminal gangs in the Crumlin area of Dublin. Gardaí from Sundrive Road Garda Station arrested the man on Tuesday, 12 July, shortly after 9pm when they stopped and searched a car and its occupant close to Old County Road and discovered a firearm and ammunition.

Man Arrested And Firearm Seized
A firearm has been seized and a man arrested in Crumlin, Dublin. According to gardaí, they were investigating reports of criminal damage at Rutland Grove when they witnessed a row break out between a number of men. The firearm was seized from one of the men involved in the row and he was subsequently arrested.

Two Arrested In Connection With Man Crushed By Bin Lorry
Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a homeless man who was crushed in a refuse collection lorry. Henryk Piotrowski, a Polish national, was asleep inside a recycling bin when it was collected by a refuse lorry. The bin was empty into the lorry and the contents crushed.

Man Charged Over Murdered Pensioner
A 29-year-old man has been charged with the murder of pensioner Edward Boylan in Dublin in January this year. Mr Boylan, 74, was attacked and stabbed at his home in Ravensdale Close, Kimmage. Fire fighters were called to a blaze at his home when his body was discovered. The suspect is being detained at Crumlin Garda Station.
