Man To Appear In Court Over Sligo Murder
A 33-year-old man is due to appear in court charged in connection with the murder of a woman in Sligo town.
The man was arrested by gardaí following the discovery of the woman's body at a house on Mailcoach Road at about 10:30 on Wednesday morning.
When officers arrived at the scene, the man was found carrying a knife. He was tasered during the course of his arrest.
It is understood that garda are still waiting the results of a post-mortem on the woman.
The man will appear before Sligo District Court this morning (Thursday) charged in connection with her death.

A woman in her 60's will appear at Longford District Court on Tuesday morning charged in relation to the death of 43-year-old Brian Mc Grath in Co Westmeath 21 years ago. A Family Man and father-of-four, Mr McGrath went missing from his home in Coole in Co Westmeath in March of 1987.

Two Arrested Over Murder Of Martin Kivlehan
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Martin Kivlehan. 59-year-old Mr Kivlehan was found with stab wounds at his apartment in Sligo on 03 August. Both men were both arrested in Sligo town and are currently being detained at Sligo Garda Station under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Pensioner Dies In Sligo Collision
A pensioner has died in a car crash in County Sligo. The collision, which involved a car and a van, occurred at Lufnadeffa, Ballysadare at around 12.20pm on Wednesday. The driver of the car, a female in her 80s and the van driver are being treated in hospital with serious injures. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
