€3m Worth Of Cocaine And Heroin Seized In Tallaght
Gardaí have seized heroin and cocaine worth an estimated €3 million during a planned vehicle stop in Tallaght on Wednesday night.
Officers from the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, with the assistance of Gardai from the Tallaght Drugs Unit, a vehicle was intercepted on Greenhills Road, Tallaght, on Wednesday, 28 October.
During a search of the vehicle, heroin and cocaine with an estimated street value of up to €3 million (pending analysis) along with 4 firearms and associated ammunition were seized. The recovered firearms include an AK 47 assault rifle and ammunition, two .22 rifles and ammunition, and a loaded pump action shotgun along with silencers and telescope sights.
Two males, aged 41 and 34 have been arrested and are currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.

Teen Arrested Following Firearm Seizure
A 19-year-old man has been arrested by gardaí following the seizure of a firearm in Tallaght, Dublin. He was arrested on the Jobstown Road at approximately 12.40am on Tuesday morning. Gardaí were alerted after a man was seen holding a weapon. The male was chased on foot and gardaí disarmed and arrested him.

Man Shot In Leg At His Dublin Home
A man was shot in the leg at his home in Dublin last night. The man, in his 30s, was shot at a number of times, at his house in Tallaght, south Dublin, according to Gardai. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital, and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The victim was shot at three times in the leg at his front door.

A woman has died after she was struck by a Luas in Dublin on the morning of Thursday 14 February. Patricia Quinn, 71, from the Belgard area of Tallaght was on foot when she was hit by the vehicle. It happened at around 10am between the Cookstown and Tallaght Hospital stops.

Man Dies In Co Kildare Road Crash
A 35-year-old man has been killed in a single-vehicle collision in Co Kildare. The crash, which injured two other men, happened on the Clane to Kilcock Road at around 9.25am on Sunday. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men travelling in the car, understood to be aged 24 and 49, are being treated at Tallaght Hospital.
