Further Weather Warning Issued
Met Éireann has issued a weather warning ahead of this weekend.
The Status Orange rainfall warning is for counties Clare, Cork and Kerry.
It came into force on Friday morning at 7am and will be in place until 23.59 on Saturday, 12 December.
Prolonged periods of very heavy rain, between 30mm and 50mm, is expected, with higher levels due on higher ground. Further flooding is expected.
The weather forecaster has said it will continue to issue weather updates throughout the day.

Two weather warnings have been issued for the whole of Ireland by Met Éireann as Storm Dennis approaches. Status Yellow weather warnings have been issued for rainfall and wind, with heavy, thundery rain expected on Saturday. Met Éireann said that this could lead to risk of some flooding.

The highest level of weather warning, status red, is in effect for counties Cork and Kerry. Met Éireann has issued the warning telling people to expected stormy conditions and high seas, along with winds gusting up to 160km/h in exposed coastal areas.

Met Eireann has issued a status orange wind warning for the south and southwest of Ireland, taking in counties Wexford, Galway, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford. This is in addition to a status orange warning for snow and ice in Co Donegal.
