Irish Golfer Christy O'Connor Jnr Dies Aged 67
Irish Golfer Christy O'Connor Jnr has died at the age of 67, it has been announced.
It is understood he died suddenly while on holiday in Tenerife, Spain.
Galway-based O'Connor was best known for his victory over American Fred Couples during the 1989 Ryder Cup.
In addition, he achieved 17 professional tournament wins, four European Tour wins, two British Open Senior titles and competed in two Ryder Cup competitions.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny led tributes to the 'golfing great', stating his passing "will be a source of great sadness to many Irish people and all golfing fans in Ireland and across Europe."

Catherine Nevin Dies Aged 67
Convicted murderer Catherine Nevin has died at the age of 67. Nevin, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2016, was serving life for organising the murder of her husband Tom at their pub in Co Wicklow. He was fatally shot at Jack White's Inn in 1996. She became known as the 'Black Widow' during the trial.

67-Year-Old Man Arrested Over Rathmines Body Discovery
A 67-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a man's body in Rathmines, Dublin. Gardaí were called to a house at about 11:30pm in Summerville Park on Monday, 23 May. Upon arrival, garda discovered the body of an unresponsive male. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
