Accent Solutions To Create 100 Jobs
Accent Solutions has announced it is to create 100 new jobs over the next two years.
The Dublin-based workforce has said it will increase its workforce to 133 by the end of this month, and have a total of 230 employees by the end of 2017.
The company, which is located in Glasnevin, specialises in providing a range of engineering and facilities solutions to the commercial, data centres, manufacturing and public sectors. Focusing on energy management, facilities and engineering services, it provides technical and operational solutions, enabling its customers to develop their business while the same time assisting them with the management of their energy, facilities and expenditure.
Making the announcement, Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton TD, said: "This is a great day for a young company going from strength to strength. By adding 100 jobs, Accent Solutions will also contribute to the wider employment recovery that the Government is driving.
"We will soon have more than two million people at work, and that's because of strong economic recovery and dynamic companies like Accent growing their business."

Trade union, SIPTU called on management to desist from issuing letters to workers which could be perceived as threatening their livelihoods, and instead enter into negotiations aimed at resolving the dispute at the public transport company.

Waterford's Honeywell Process Solutions Announces Closure
A total of 27 full-time jobs are to be lost following the announcement that one of Waterford city's longest-established factories, Honeywell Process Solutions, is to close. Staff at the company, formerly known as Measurex, were informed for the closure at a meeting today. Work carried out at the factory will be moved to Europe.
