Cocaine Seized At Dublin Airport

Cocaine worth an estimated €140,000 has been seized by Revenue officials at Dublin Airport.

A 25-year-old Brazilian man was stopped on searched on Tuesday 12 January as he attempted to board a flight to Barcelona.

The drugs were discovered in his checked in baggage concealed in three cosmetic bottles.

The man was arrested by Gardaí and brought before Judge Cormac Dunne in the Criminal Courts of Justice where he has been remanded in custody until Thursday 14 January.

Drugs Seized At Dublin Airport
Cocaine, with an estimated street value of €70,000, has been seized by customs officers at Dublin Airport. It is understood that 1kg of the drug was found in a child's toy house, which arrived in a freight consignment from Canada on Thursday.

Officers Seize €20,000 At Knock Airport
Revenue officers seized €20,000 in cash from a couple who landed in Knock airport having returned from Lanzarote. The can was concealed in items of clothing and carry-on luggage. The cash was seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act and investigations are continuing.
