More Than €100m Secured For Flood Damaged Roads
More than €100 million has been announced for local authorities to carry out repairs on roads damaged by the recent flooding.
The funding has been announced by Transport Minister, Paschal Donohoe, who's Department will oversee the distribution of the money to local authorities for a works programme to deal with infrastructure repairs in the transport sector.
Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe said: "My Department will be engaging closely with Local Authorities to put together work programmes. This funding will also include for preventative works on key roads across the country. The aim will be to ensure that critical repairs are addressed as quickly as possible."

€294m Set Aside For Roads Investment
A €249m investment package for regional and local roads in Ireland has been unveiled by Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Paschal Donohoe TD. The investment will allow some 2,000km of the roads network to be maintained and strengthened in 2015.

Minor Works Scheme Failure Raising Parents Back-To-School Costs - FF
The government's failure to commit to a Minor Works Scheme for schools is resulting in higher back-to-school costs for parents, Fianna Fáil has claimed. According to the party's Education Spokesperson Charlie McConalogue, schools are being forced to increase the voluntary contributions asked of parents in order to just keep the school running.
