Thousands Without Power As Storm Imogen Hits
Around 5,000 customers are without electricity as Storm Imogen landed in Ireland.
The areas mainly affected by the power outage are in counties Cork, Kerry and Limerick, and are served by ESB stations in Castletownbere and Kanturk. There are reports of fallen power lines in Cork city.
ESB has said it is working to restore power as quickly as possible.
Storm Imogen is expected to bring gusts of up to 130km/h in counties Cork and Kerry, while a less severe weather wind alert has been issued for counties Clare, Limerick, Waterford and Wexford.

Met Éireann Issues Rain Warning
Met Éireann has issued a 'yellow' weather warning for torrential rain in the west of Ireland, affecting counties Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick. Heavy rain in western areas is due to spread eastwards today, with a clearance developing in the west later this afternoon.

ESB Worked Overnight To Restore Power To Homes And Businesses
ESB Networks are continuing to restore power to homes and businesses across Ireland following Storm Brendan. At its height on Monday, some 50,000 properties were without power as strong winds and heavy rain tracked across the country. ESB crews worked overnight to restore power as quickly as possible.

Met Eireann Issues Warnings For Rain, Snow & Ice
A series of yellow weather alerts for rain, snow and ice have been issued for the incoming weekend. Rainfall warnings are in place for counties Connacht, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary. This will be valid from 9pm tonight, Friday 15 March, until 12 noon on Saturday 16 March.
