Maternity Service Must Be Priority For Next Government - FF
Maternity services must be made a priority by the next government, Fianna Fáil candidate for Dublin Central, Mary Fitzpatrick, has said.
She went on to urge all women and mothers to vote for female candidates to make this happen.
"The de facto male monopoly of our parliament means that the only time pregnancy and maternity services are discussed by the political establishment is when there is a crisis. This must change," Ms Fitzpatrick said.
"It is unacceptable in a modern capital city that expectant mothers and maternity staff are struggling to safely deliver babies in outdated, antiquated and sub-standard facilities," she added.
