Herbal Cannabis Seized In Portlaoise Mail Centre

A quantity of herbal cannabis has been seized by Revenue Officers at Portlaoise Mail Centre.

The seized drugs are said to be worth an estimated €80,000.

The drugs were discovered, following routine profiling, when Revenue's sniffer dog, 'Stella', gave a positive reaction to a parcel that had been consigned from Southeast Africa to an address in Dublin City.

Investigations are on-going.

€100k Cannabis Seized At Dublin Mail Centre
Revenue officers have seized 5kg of herbal cannabis worth an estimated €100,000 at the Dublin Mail Centre. The drugs were found today, Thursday 18 April, with the assistance of Revenue detector dog Bailey. They were concealed in seven different parcels labelled as 'diaries', 'kitchen tools', 'USB fan', 'toys' and 'car air fresheners'.

Revenue officers have seized herbal cannabis and ecstasy tablets worth an estimated €48,850 at Dublin Mail Centre The illegal drugs were discovered in 14 separate parcels originating from the United States and the Netherlands and were declared as items such as 'fabric', 'gloves', 'bathrobe' and 'denim hooded jacket'.

Cannabis Seized During Raid In Wexford
Gardai have seized herbal cannabis following a raid on a house in Wexford. It is estimated to have a street value of €45,000. A number of plants were found during the search of a property in Lee Heights on Thursday. No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.

Herbal Cannabis Seized At Portlaoise Mail Centre
Herbal cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized by Revenue officers at Portlaoise Mail Centre. Following routine profiling, and with the assistance of Revenue's detector dog team, 7.5kg of herbal cannabis was found concealed in parcels from Nigeria, addressed to a location in Dublin.

Drugs Seized At Portlaoise Mails Centre
Drugs worth €27,000 have been seized by Revenue officers at Portlaoise Mails Centre. Following routine profiling, 54kgs of khat was seized by officers from a number of parcels originating from Ethiopia and Kenya. The parcels, some of which were declared as 'clothing', were destined for various addresses in Dublin City.
