Getaway Car Used In Murder 'Was Stolen'
A getaway car used in a shooting incident in which a man was killed earlier this week, was stolen last year, it has been reported.
Vincent Ryan, who was 25, was shot dead in Finglas, Dublin, on Monday.
Gardaí have said they do not believe the murder of Mr Ryan, a dissident republican, is connected to the murder of David Byrne last month. Mr Byrne was gunned down at a boxing weigh-in at the Regency Hotel in Dublin in February.
Following the shooting of Mr Ryan on Monday, the gunmen escaped in a silver Volkswagen Golf which is now understood to have been stolen during a burglary in Co Kildare in October.
Detectives are now trying to establish where the car had been kept until it was discovered burnt out on Monday night.
