Gardai Appeal Following Death Of 11-Month-Old Baby
Gardaí are appealing for information on the unexplained death of an 11-month-old baby boy at an apartment complex in Killarney, Co Kerry.
The discovery of the boy's body was made shortly before 18:00 on Sunday, 06 March, when Gardaí and emergency services were called to an incident at the complex on Upper High Street, Killarney.
The baby was treated at the scene by emergency services, however was pronounced dead a short time later.
A man aged in his 30s was also discovered at the scene suffering serious injuries. He is continuing to receive treatment at University Hospital Kerry.
Members from the Garda Technical Bureau are continuing to examine the scene and the baby's body has now been removed to University Hospital Kerry where a post-mortem examination will take place.
Gardaí are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Park Place Apartments between 13:00 and 18:00 on Sunday evening to contact them. Anyone with information is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station 064-6671160, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Woman's Body Found In County Laoise
Gardai are continuing with their investigations after the discovery of a woman's body in County Laoise. The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found at a flat in Mountrath. Man And Woman Arrested In Connection With Child's Death Last Year
Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a 10-week-old baby girl in Co Longford in June last year. The child, named as Doriana Kluska, from Cloondara in Longford, died in Temple Street Hospital on 04 June 2017. A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in Naas. At the same time a woman, aged in her 20s, was arrested in Dublin.
