Series Of Raids Carried Out Across Dublin

A series of raids have been carried out across Dublin in an operation led by the Criminal Assets Bureau.

The operation was targeting the assets of criminal gangs currently believed to be involved in an ongoing fued.

Before 7am on Wednesday morning raids were carried out at 12 homes and six commercial premises.

The operation involved more than 60 armed and uniformed officers and it is understood the items seized included cash, documents, computers and documents.

It is understood that follow-up searches are expected to be carried out this afternoon, 09 March.

Four 'Tied-Up' In Major Operation
A major operation has been put in place to tackle organsied crime with four men detained this morning. It is part of a joint Gardái/Customs Operation - codenamed Operation Tie - and being coordinated by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB), National Support Services and the Dublin Metropolitan Regional Traffic Department.

Alleged Sex Boss Held
The gardaí in north Cork have arrested a man as part of an investigation into organised prostitution. The 51-year-old was detained by detectives from the Criminal Assets Bureau at around 7.30am on Thursday morning, during a raid carried out as part of an on-going investigation, dubbed Operation Boulder.
